Journey home

Last year I traveled through Nepal, a beautiful country. I walked through the annapurna ranch for a few days, a very nice trip along the local population and the beautiful nature and mountain tops of the Himalayas. I stayed in several villages including Ghandruk. A very old village of hundreds of years old. The people here live in the mountains and speak their own language, Gurung language. It can only be reached on foot, no roads, no traffic. I was very impressed with living here. It was as if I had landed in the last century……..
That’s how I met rajkumari gurung, she is 85 years old and speaks her own language: gurung. Also the clothes she wears are traditional gurung clothes.
I have depicted her here with the Himalayas in the background and the source of the sacred river Ganges. It is important for every Hindu to visit the Himalayas and the Ganges once in a lifetime.
